Scorpion-tail is a member of the borage or forget-me-not family (family Boraginaceae). Borages are generally herbs, often covered with bristly hairs.
There are about 100 genera and 2,000 species, found mostly in warm or temperate regions. Borage species are grown as ornamentals.
