As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Description: ADKINS ARBORETUM is a new breed of arboretum, a place to discover the native flora of the Delmarva Peninsula. Located on the Tuckahoe Creek on Maryland's Eastern Shore, this 400-acre preserve includes portions of one of the region's most significant forested wetlands. The diverse naturalized areas contain various stages of maturing forests and meadows.
